It can happen, we have seen it. You have hungry eyes and you make way to much waffle batter. Now what? Seems like a waste to throw it away. If you plan to make some more waffles in a while, like in the evening or even next morning you can simply cover the bowl with your waffle batter and store it in you refrigerator.

Waffle iron is what you need if you want to make waffles at home. Actually
waffle iron is an older name for waffle maker. The reason for that is that early waffle irons were made by blacksmiths and were made out of casted iron plates. Hence the name waffle iron.

So you are hooked on waffles and you started making them at home? Now it would be a good time to get a
waffle maker for your kitchen. Waffle makers (also called waffle iron) go quite a long way back. Some even date them all the way back to ancient times. We guess waffles could be right there with them since - why would you need a waffle maker in waffles don't exist yet :)?

To put it really simple so even a hungry person can understand it,
waffles are kind of a mix between pancakes, cookies, omelets and well...uh... what matters is that they are good and many waffely thanks to pilgrim who brought them to North America sometime around 1920. Along came the wooden clogs and waffle making methods and recipes from Holland. Otherwise waffles came from the wafers that look like crispy, thin and very light waffles.
