Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches Recipe

Crispy traditional waffles are the order of the day for this cool treat. The results are far superior to any ice cream sandwich you can purchase from your grocer's freezer or an ice cream shop. Your own favorite waffles make them exceptional because these ice cream sandwiches are custom made to your family's specifications.

HOW TO MAKE WAFFLE ICE CREAM SANDWICH

1. Using a traditional waffle iron, follow your favorite recipe for plain, fruit or chocolate chip waffles.

2. Once the waffles are done, set them aside to cool to room temperature.

3. Allow a scoop of your favorite flavor ice cream to soften enough to manipulate with a spoon.

4. Place the ice cream on a single waffle and use the spoon to cover the entire waffle surface with ice cream.

5. Place a second waffle atop the ice cream and set in freezer for 20-30 minutes.
